Oligofructose Frutalose® – Fructooligosaccharide (Sensus)

Oligofructose Frutalose® can be used to replace sweeteners such as sucrose. Because their sweetness is less than that of sucrose, it is often necessary to add high intensity sweeteners (VIPs) to Frutalose® Oligofructose (FOS) to ensure proper sweetness. The addition of oligofructose to dairy drinks often has a synergistic effect on sweetness with VIP.
Organoleptic studies have demonstrated that inulin and oligofructose have the ability to mask the unwanted aftertaste of VIP.
The use of oligofructose Frutalose® improves mouthfeel, provides a creamy consistency and texture with low or even no fat in (fermented) milk drinks.
Due to the low calorie content of Frutalose® oligofructose, it is possible to reduce the number of calories or develop low calorie dairy drinks.
There is scientific evidence that oligofructose is a prebiotic ingredient that allows the development of prebiotic (fermented milk) milk drinks.
